JESUS ACCORDING TO LUKE
Our series for the month of August is based in the gospel of Luke and follows Jesus around during some of his regular experiences: going to church; attending a dinner party; regular, everyday occasions. As followers of Jesus, it’s important for us to understand that while God is present in the great sacred moments of church life (think Easter and Christmas), we can also experience his presence in the day-to-day, ordinary, even mundane moments of our lives. And in Luke’s gospel we glimpse Jesus engaged in many of these moments that we might call ordinary or mundane. And yet they can become for us moments of great learning.
