At Guelph Citadel we believe that everyone should be connected to caring, biblical community and one of the best places for this type of community is within small groups - or Life Groups. Our Life Groups meet in a variety of places, discuss a variety of topics, and include a variety of people.

For more information about Life Groups, please contact our Discipleship Pastor at guelphsa.discipleship@salvationarmy.ca.

DISCIPLESHIP BANDS

A discipleship band is a group of three to five people who read together, pray together, and meet together to become the love of God for one another and the world. A discipleship band is not a traditional small group. It is not another Bible study group. It is not a classic accountability group. The primary curriculum is the lives of its participants, joined together in the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.

THE BOOK OF JAMES

Adult Small Group | Sundays | 7pm | The home of Mark & Robyn Sturge

True faith produces fruit. A faith without action and without life change is ultimately a dead faith. The book of James speaks to the realities of a living faith in Jesus—the kind of roll-up-your-sleeves and get-your-hands-dirty discipleship that is borne out of an authentic relationship with the risen Lord. James writes to believers who know suffering, who've faced trials, and who ultimately desire a deep relationship with God.

Francis Chan unpacks the dense truth contained in the book of James in front of the iconic backdrop of San Francisco, the city where he lives and ministers. Through 12 sessions, Francis works through James verse-by-verse, challenging followers of Christ to move beyond a private, intellectual knowledge of God and His Word, to a vibrant faith that impacts every square inch of life..

FAITH FOUNDATIONS

Whether we’ve been Christians for years, discovered faith in Jesus recently, or are still wondering what it’s all about, we share similar questions about why and how to live out our faith. We wonder: What are we made for? What does it look like to know God deeply? Why are we called to reflect his light to those around us—and how do we do that? Join us for this ten-session series as we examine foundational truths for becoming mature disciples of Christ.
