Majors Lee-Ann & Peter van Duinen
Majors Lee-Ann and Peter van Duinen were appointed as Corps Officers (lead pastors) of Guelph Citadel in September 2019.
Commissioned and ordained as Salvation Army officers in 2004, Peter and Lee-Ann served three years in denominational leadership as Divisional Youth Leaders (Edmonton, AB), six years as the pastors of a small rural congregation (Parry Sound, ON), and six years as the pastors of a growing multi-ethnic suburban congregation (Winnipeg, MB).
Lee-Ann holds a BA degree in Religious and Theological Studies (Booth University College), a Masters degree in Leadership (Trinity Western University), and a Higher Education Teaching Certificate (University of Winnipeg). Peter holds a BA degree in Religious and Theological Studies (Booth University College) and a Master of Divinity degree with a specialization in Congregational Revitalization (Wesley Seminary at Indiana Wesleyan University).
Lee-Ann is a certified Leadership Coach with Essential Impact and is currently completing her Associate Certified Coach credentials with International Coaching Federation (ICF). Peter is a certified church health consultant with the Missional Coaches Network.
From 2013 to 2019, Lee-Ann and Peter served as field training officers for the College for Officer Training (CFOT), as well as holding teaching positions at CFOT in the areas of spiritual formation and organizational leadership. Additionally, Peter served as a sessional instructor at Booth University College, teaching in the Advanced Leadership for Congregations certificate program. Peter and Lee-Ann continue to serve in teaching, consulting, and coaching roles for the Corps Mission and Leadership Development Departments at Territorial Headquarters.
Partners in life and ministry, Lee-Ann and Peter have been married since 1995. They enjoy life and laugh often with their children, Emma (and her husband Liam), Nate, and Abbi.
